Adam sent me this cool link Gingerbread Carcassone . This is one of Darcy and I’s favorite game. I would not have the patience to ice all of the squares. There are around 100 squares.

In the past 24 hours I created/baked 3 different times. I made a beautiful Christmas Tree Shaped Spinach Cheeseball for the Elementary School’s Potluck. I also made a Cinnamon Coffee Cake and Cinnamon Swirl Muffins for the Middle School since it is my turn to bring breakfast in. I almost made Adam chocolate chip muffins, but I was tired after being domestic all afternoon.
I also need to start on Christmas shopping….for a girl who loves to shop you would think this would be the easiest thing in the world.

I have been spending some of my evenings trying to get all of our pictures uploaded onto our zenfolio account. I came across these pictures from Christmas 2004, when the group got together and made a Christmas card. It still makes my side hurt to think about how much I laughed that night.
It is cool to me that I have been in Rochester long enough to have Christmas memories
The photos are up in this folder, to view the “Official” pictures look here.
I know that many of us are trying to get patents and, after coming up with an idea, one of the hardest parts of getting a patent is making sure it is unique. Well Google has come up with a search engine to help search through US patents (See Google Blog post here). The site can be accessed by going to http://www.google.com/patents. You can do lots of interesting searches (for instance check out what some Aslakson’s have patented). I’m not sure exactly what a glory hole furnace is (other then that it sounds dirty), but I am proud that someone with my last name helped invent it (in 1900). Am I related to that Aslakson? I don’t know, Google hasn’t gotten to the point yet that it can tell me, but I am sure sometime soon it will.
You wouldn’t think looking through patents would be that fun, but it kinda is
If you find any cool ones send them my way.
So in order to prove that I am new to this blogging thing, and will at this point blog about anything. Tonight I am going to blog about what we had for dinner. Amber was nice enough to bring home Taco Bell. I was a little leary because of all the E. coli news lately, but figured there really wasn’t anything to worry about seeing as how my taco’s didn’t have any onion on them. Then, immediately following dinner I see this story on msnbc FDA says lettuce is most likely E. coli source. For those of you interested, Amber went for the Pizza Hut option at Taco Bell/Pizza Hut, I wonder if she saw this story earlier today? ![]()
This is what is great about the internet. It gives people with alot of time on their hands something to do, and allows them to share it with the rest of us with time on our hands, but are too lazy to do anything.
Welcome to our first post!
We decided that apart there was no way we could keep a blog going, but together we have just as little of a chance of keeping a blog going
The plan is to update this with random stuff. Some personal, keeping people back home up to date on how things are going out here in MN. Some more random, like crazy links we find, or just random thoughts.
For this blog we stole the domain of our wedding site, if you still want to look at that site goto http://wedding.adam-amber.com and there it will be.
I am also working on transfering all of our photos to our zenfolio account (at http://photos.adam-amber.com) so I can clear out the old godaddy hosted account for good.
Thanks for checking this out, and hopefully there will be something here again soon.
